This is a new book which has been co-edited by Sabrina Brando, AnimalConcepts, and Dr Sarah Chapman, Chapman Zoo Consultancy. Sarah will be our keynote speaker providing details about the book. Ageing animal care is becoming more of a priority for so many animal caregivers all around the world and this book has been written to provide caregivers with valuable insights into their specialist needs. Topics covered include ethics, record keeping, training, enrichment, habitat design, monitoring tools, veterinary care and pain management, end of life decision making, human-animal bonds and animal behaviour following the loss of a companion and managing public communication. This book is a collaboration between many global professionals with a passion for animal wellbeing and each chapter written by experienced industry experts. Every chapter is introduced by a photo and a story about an animal to bring us back to why we do what we do.
